Gathering of Deep Time Walk facilitators
A day of exchange, practice, and connection
Sunday, 27 September 2026 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at L’Arbre qui Pousse
On Sunday, September 27, we invite you to join us to experience Deep Time.
The program for this day has been specially designed for Deep Time Walk facilitators, in the spirit we wish to infuse into our work: creating opportunities to gather, learn together, and inspire one another.
Our intention is to strengthen our community — a community that grows, experiments, and supports itself.
This day aims to offer moments to share good practices, rely on fellow facilitators, identify potential co‑facilitators, revive an initiative, or open new perspectives for future walks.
Following this gathering, we invite you to three complementary moments:
Monday, September 28, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.: a day dedicated to transition pedagogies in higher education, including a Deep Time Walk and experiential workshops.
Monday, September 28, at 8 p.m.: a conference by Brian Swimme on the theme “From the Big Bang to Our Lives: Being Human in an Evolving Universe”
Tuesday, September 29, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.: an exploratory seminar with Brian Swimme and Gauthier Chapelle on “Inhabiting the Earth Differently”, featuring an expanded Deep Time Walk reaching back to the Big Bang
Program of the day
9:30–10:00: Welcome & introduction
10:00–13:00: Collective Deep Time Walk, sharing of good practices
13:00–14:30: Shared meal (potluck style)
14:30–16:00: Small‑group workshops
16:00–17:00: Closing circle
17:00: End of the day

Practical information
Please bring : a water bottle, a meal to share, something to write with, and clothing and shoes suitable for the weather.
This gathering will be held in French. It is therefore preferable to have a good understanding of the language in order to fully benefit from the day’s content.

Where ?
We will host these events at the farm of L’Arbre qui Pousse where Schumacher Sprouts Belgium are based. L’Arbre qui Pousse is a project of collective living and learning that experiments with transition towards more ecologically and socially accountable ways of life.
You may arrive the evening before and stay overnight at L’Arbre qui Pousse. If you wish to do so, please let us know at least two weeks in advance.

Access:
By bike: you can lock your bicycle on site.
By train and on foot
25 min train from Brussels.
2h train from London
Ottignies station — go up to the footbridge (from the platforms) and follow this route (25 min).
By car: park near the barn or close to the farm on Rue du Corbeau. As parking spaces are limited, and in order to respect nature as much as possible, please prioritise carpooling.

Sprout : €60 (fair price)
Tree : : €80 (Support price - I would like to support the participation of someone else)
Seed: 30€ (my budget is limited or I was trained by the Schumacher Sprouts) — Limited availability at this rate
